Dopo l'ultimo film, Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, è stato annunciato il film dedicato alle riedizioni dei giochi Zaffiro e Rubino per 3DS. 
Il film arriverà nel 2015 in tutto il mondo, con date ovviamente differenti. In America ed Europa giungerà a Novembre mentre in Giappone dovrebbe arrivare in estate. Il film includerà molti Pokemon esclusivi dei giochi.
